Server Will Be Up

For those of you who don't know, the server will be up at 1am PST, but hopefully before that. Man the staff messed up big =.=. What will happen we don't know, a roll-back or just penalize the ones who profited the most.

Anyways like you all we suffer, and I hope that your all not too bored.

Here's how it went down. New patch screwed up everything.

Apparently with a clothing from the boutique [still don't know which one possibly the new one] someone had it, and sold it at Etherblade's npc, just that specific one. And that npc gives you a dye, which in then, that dye can be resold at the npc for so much coins, that it's over the 6 digit range. So what happened? People told each other and kept buying more gold from auctioneer, and then so forth bought that clothing.

Eventually that NPC locked down, and the lake near Etherblade glitched. Anyone in there or near it would instantly have their client crash. So then.... Etherblade swarming with people who are trying this, gold prices rising like spitfires, it hit the 700k mark per gold. Because that's how much money you got from doing that stupid glitch.

So then now we have an influx of billions upon billions of coins, in a mere matter of a few hours, in a matter of very few hands.

Now we have a set of classes, the very uberly rich, and the rest. So now they shut down the server to fix this glitch and have been on it for hours on end. Or they're just playing.

Friday the 13th indeed my fiends.

Yesterday, Feburary 13th, 2008 a date which will live in infamy, the social and financial aspects of Perfect World was suddenly and deliberately attacked by exploiters and a buggy patch.

The economy of Perfect World was running at normal operational status, and, at the sign of a new patch being released, was in a conversion phase to market the new items. Indeed, a while after the patch was released, a money exploit was found by a certain person. This person and his associates started to plan how they will use this new exploit to benefit themselves and the people they call friends.

It should be noted that in their frenzy to earn "easy money", they did not completely foresee the consequences their actions are about to unleash on the social and economical aspects of Perfect World. During the aftermath, many people have already left or is threatening to leave the Perfect World community.

The buggy patch along with the exploiter's attack yesterday has caused severe damage to the normal functioning of Perfect World. The GMs and developers have regretfully informed the Perfect World community that this will prevent any further operation of Perfect World until it is fixed. In addition, any rollback will cause people to have wasted the half a day (after the new patch) they spent on Perfect World (lets hope the people that spent real money on zen in this period doesn't lose their money).

Yesterday the exploiters also affected the gold trading prices,

Last night the exploiters vastly inflated the economy of Perfect World

(for those who didn't know what "vastly inflated the economy" means):
Last night the exploiters increased the prices of boutique and hard to get items by two to ten times

This morning the Etherblade lake bug affected the unaware, the curious and the stupid

Exploiters has, therefore, screwed up the economy of Perfect World. The facts i listed above speak for themselves. Players of Perfect World have already formed their opinions and well understand the future implications on both the social and financial aspects of Perfect World if this is not fixed.

Perfect World GMs have already locked the servers down and are working with the developers to fix this problem.

But always will players remember this day as Perfect World's Friday the thirteenth. No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated exploitation, the people of Perfect World, in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.
